Hjortegarden - Deer farm | Fjordguiding

Step onboard a comfortable bus that will take you out of the Port and on a guided tour along the middel part of the Nordfjord. After just 15 minutes driving you will enter a local ferry that will cross the Nordfjord and give you a beautiful view of the Fjord and the surrounding mountains with the majestic glacier on the top. The tour continues along a local road through the village of Ålfoten before you arrive at the deer farm.

Hjortegarden” in Ålfoten is situated in the middle of a nature reservoir.You cannot get any closer to nature than this. Sonja and Karl Vidar are the proud owners of the farm and they welcome you to their lovely farm where nature, food traditions, hunting and love to the animals are important factors. Listen to the story about the Red deer farm. Feed the deer and enjoy a meal at the farm.

The deer is majestic and the true owner of the woods surrounding the farm, where they reign all the way down from the bay, along the rivers, through the forests and canyons, and all the way to the big Ålfotbreen glacier.

After 2 hours at the farm the bus will take you back to port.
