Whether you're seeking fishing experiences, a cozy family vacation, or a peaceful place to retreat after a long festival day, Skipenes farm could be an option for you.
The farm has roots dating back to the 1600s, and the two spacious rental cottages are idyllically situated by the renowned salmon river Eidselva. With only 800 meters to Nordfjordeid town center, you live in secluded, peaceful surroundings while being close to shops, restaurants, and cultural offerings.
The two cottages on the farm have two floors and are designed to provide families, groups of friends, or fishers with the most seamless and comfortable stay possible.
The first floor contains a cozy and bright living room with TV and wireless internet (Wi-Fi), a well-equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, and dishwasher, plus a bathroom with shower and washing machine.
The second floor consists of two separate bedrooms with a total of five beds. One room has two single beds, while the other offers a family-friendly solution with one double bed and one single bed. The hosts can also provide a travel crib and high chair if guests wish.
On a large outdoor area outside the cottages, children can play while adults can relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful nature in the area. By the riverbank there is also a lovely grill house for guests to use. There is ample parking space right outside the entrance door.
The central location in Stad municipality makes the cottages a perfect base for exploring the region. From here you can combine city days in Nordfjordeid, whether visiting Sagastad to see the impressive Myklebust ship, or attending the popular Malakoff festival.
Skipenes farm is also centrally located for day trips. For example, it's less than an hour's drive to the world-famous Briksdalsbreen glacier, and it's a short distance to Loen Skylift, the surf beaches of Stad, and the deep fjords of western Norway.
Another advantage of staying at Skipenes farm is exclusive access to the salmon river Eidselva. The farm has its own exclusive fishing rights in the river (zone 23), making the cottages a sought-after base for sport fishers throughout the season.
To maintain an allergy-friendly and clean indoor environment, smoking is prohibited, and pets are not allowed in the cottages. Guests can choose to bring their own bedding and towels, or rent these for a small additional fee.
