Join our well-known NORTIND ski or IFMGA peak guides on an alpine skiing adventure from Norway's best-placed cable car.

The funicular takes you straight from Hotel Alexandra by the fjord in Loen to Hoven 1000 meters above sea level. Hoven is a starting point for a number of spectacular alpine ski tours. Below we present some options of varying difficulty and length.

Guides with high expertise

Breogfjell is one of the operators in Norway that has the strictest requirements for certification, experience and local knowledge. On alpine ski tours and summit tours, we only use internationally approved peak guides (UIAGM/IFMGA), ski guides and peak guides in training/aspirants who can demonstrate solid experience over several years in demanding ski, climbing and glacier tours.

Tour according to ability

It is important to us that you and your friends, family or colleagues have good experiences in the mountains. "Hiking according to ability" is a term we have used in Norwegian outdoor life for years, and is central to trip planning. We adapt to your wishes and skills, as well as the mountain's premises such as weather, snow conditions, avalanche danger and much more.

Short trip (one way)
From the top station we go on skins 150 meters of elevation gain to Skredfjellet. From here we can choose different descents from between 300 and 1000 meters depending on snow and weather conditions. This trip can be adapted to varying skill levels.

Medium to long trip
From the top station we first climb 400 meters to Staurinibba. A spectacular landscape opens up with an eldorado of possibilities. From here there are hiking opportunities in all directions with both short and long descents before we end up either in Stryn, Oppstryn, at Tjugen in Loen, or we make our way back to Loen Skylift for the return when the snow line is high in the terrain.

Long to very long trip.
The first option starts by using the lifts to Stryn Vinterski up to 1000 meters above sea level. From here we continue up to Natakupa (400 meters above sea level) before we drive down up to 1300 meters to the valley. After lunch at one of the cozy cafes in the center of Stryn we take a taxi to Loen Skylift and choose one of the options described above. If the snow conditions are right we can get up to 3300 meters of descent this day.

The second option offers the spectacular Hoven – Storskredfjellet traverse. If you have driven down from Strynefjellet, you have certainly noticed the strikingly beautiful mountain peak with the diamond-shaped glacier that towers over Oppstryn. The trip offers several options. The shortest requires 1400 meters of ascent and provides 2100 meters of descent. There are also options to include several shorter descents and ascents in several of the valleys and gullies you pass on the traverse towards Storskredfjellet.
