Sagastad is a modern center that opened in 2019. The unique, black signal building that houses the ship and the exhibitions is a revelation in itself. We have no doubt that this is the world's most beautiful boathouse!

The center is located close to the fjord in the center of the rural town of Nordfjordeid. Exactly halfway between the coast with the surfing paradise of Hoddevika and the magnificent Vestkapp plateau, and at the other end high mountains with a view of turquoise waters and glaciers in Loen and Olden. No matter where in Nordfjord you stay, Sagastad is no more than about an hour by car.
Welcome to the Viking Age!
