Hornelen Via Ferrata takes you 860 meters straight to the top of Europe’s highest sea cliff. Sheer vertical excitement with the ocean right beneath you and eagles soaring at your side – an experience you will never forget!
This guided full-day tour takes you all the way to the summit of Mount Hornelen. You will definitely feel the adrenaline here. The tour starts at Smalsarhuken, the shelter where “Hekseveggen” (The Witch’s Wall) ends. From there, the route gradually increases in difficulty, leading up to the crux just before the summit – a dramatic 45-meter overhanging climb that will truly get your heart racing.

After the climb (and after enjoying the view), you will descend via a prepared hiking trail through magnificent coastal mountain scenery, with some challenging terrain along the way. This is where you might meet other members of your travel group who did not take the climb.
