Explore the distinctive landscape of the Stad Peninsula with Stad Outdoors.
Guided by knowledgeable locals, we offer tours and private experiences to some of the region’s most characteristic locations.
Here, you’ll encounter an open coastal landscape with mountain plateaus, steep cliffs, and wide views of the ocean and fjords.
Our tours take you to historical and natural sites, including traces of the Viking Age, the well-known Selje Monastery from the Middle Ages, and iconic places such as Vestkapp and Hoddevik.
From Vestkapp, you’ll enjoy views of the open sea from one of Norway’s westernmost points, while Hoddevik offers a sheltered bay with a long sandy beach surrounded by steep mountains.
Hoddevik is internationally known as one of Norway’s most popular surfing beaches.
Along the way, you’ll gain insight into local history, the landscape, and life along the coast. The area has been settled and used for farming for around 4,000 years, which is still visible in the landscape today.
Activities:
You can choose between guided hikes, more relaxed experiences focused on culture and history, or tailor-made tours adapted to your needs.
We offer both high-intensity and low-threshold tours, making the experience accessible to a wide range of visitors.
Many of the tours are also well suited for photography, with viewpoints that offer great conditions in changing light and weather.
Stad Outdoors focuses on safe and reliable experiences, with an emphasis on quality, local knowledge, and flexibility.
