Join a guided RIB safari on the Nordfjord and experience the dramatic landscape from the water.

The tour starts at the quay in Nordfjordeid, just outside the cruise terminal. Here you will meet your guide and get equipped with a flotation suit, life jacket and goggles before boarding the boat. After a short safety briefing, you are ready to head out on the fjord.

As you leave the harbour, you’ll pass the village of Nordfjordeid before heading into the open fjord. The boat gradually picks up speed, offering a mix of scenic cruising and more thrilling sections along the way.

Throughout the journey, there are several stops where your guide shares insights into life along the fjord. You will visit a salmon farm and learn about one of Norway’s most important industries, before continuing into a landscape of steep mountains and narrow fjord arms.

The tour also includes a stop at a waterfall, where you can taste fresh mountain water and hear how natural resources are used for hydropower in the region. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into local traditions and the cultural landscape shaped by generations living close to the fjord.

You may also spot wildlife such as sea eagles or porpoises if conditions allow. The tour passes traditional farms, and includes a tasting of locally produced apple juice.

After exploring the inner fjord, the return journey offers a faster ride back across the water towards Nordfjordeid.
