The Norwegian Country Festival (Norsk Countrytreff) is the largest cultural event of its kind in Western Norway. The festival takes place in Breim, in the municipality of Gloppen, from 8–12 July 2026.General information
Since its first edition in 1995, the Norwegian Country Festival has steadily grown into one of the largest cultural events in Vestland County and the biggest country music festival in Western Norway. From around 2,000 visitors in its inaugural year, the festival set a new attendance record in 2023, welcoming more than 21,000 visitors to events held throughout the Gloppen area.
The festival’s ambition is not to be the biggest, but the best. Quality at every level is its hallmark. Each year, the organisation strives to further develop the festival experience for artists, visitors, and the more than 700 volunteers who make the event possible. Over the years, it has become a tradition for local residents and country music enthusiasts alike to dedicate this weekend to volunteering, social gatherings, and cultural experiences – a tradition the festival hopes will continue for many years to come.
The festival offers its own campsite during the event and is held annually in week 28. The festival campsite and one of the stage areas have an age limit of 18 years, while the main stage includes a dedicated area for visitors under the age of 18.
