Welcome to the idyllic village of Iglandsvik.

Igland

On the north side of Bremangerpollen you will find the village of Igland, which lies around Iglandsvika between the farms of Grotle and Torvanger. In earlier times, fishing and agriculture were the livelihood here for most people. Nature provides excellent conditions for this, with rich fishing grounds right outside the front door and good conditions for farming. Archaeological excavations show that there was permanent settlement here 1,000 years ago.

At the outermost part of Grotle on Bremangerlandet you will find a true gem of a sandy beach – Grotlesanden. Here there is silky-soft white sand as far as the eye can see. Although along the coast from Hauge out to Grotle there are many different small and large beaches, it is Grotlesanden that is the biggest and finest.

By nature, Igland is also endowed with two small, fine, and idyllic sandy beaches.

In Iglandsvik you will find Iglandsvik Handelsstad, where there is a Joker store with hardware and groceries, Farmen lifestyle shop with café, MH24 with a self-service fuel station for cars and boats, and Iglandsvik Marina with a service building, guest dock, and camping for tents, motorhomes, and caravans. Here you will also find great accommodation options at Havlys Bed and Breakfast, Nigardsøybua, and Åkrebua, Reidarbua, Vellebua and Åkrebua. Havlys has a café, pub, and restaurant.

In the summer half of the year there is bustling activity with tourists and visitors, and here you will also find the traditional music festival RockWeekend, which is held the second weekend in July every year.
