You can walk in the same halls as the benedict munks did for more than 700 years ago, and walk the shallow stairways to the top of the tower. Follow the footsteps of St.Sunniva to the holy Sunnivacave, and enjoy the magnificent view of the Selja Abbey. Maybe you want to taste the healing water from Sunnivas well?

The boat trip is a nature experience in itself. On the north side of the island we have a good view of the southern side of the Stadt Pennisula towards the Western Cape of Norway. Here you can study the steep cliffs that dive into the ocean, and the small villages inbetween them. One of them is the village of Drage, where the Vikings pulled their boats over the mountain to avoid the infamous sea of Stadt. On the southern side of the island we look at several islands and lighthouses. We will also have a look at where the the Norwegian Government is planning to build the worlds first ship tunnel. If we are lucky, we will be accompanied by sea eagles on our way.

Daily departures from Selje, all seasons. Check our website for bookings and availability.
