General information

Førsdalen, also known as Fordesdalen, extends inland from Førde in Ålfoten and is an excellent starting point for hiking in one of the most distinctive areas in Norway. Here you will also find Hjortegarden, which offers unique experiences in food, outdoor activities, and team building where deer, tranquility, and magnificent nature are the main ingredients.

The terrain into the valley is pleasant to walk through, and along the way you will see the spectacular mountain ledges and unusual geology that characterizes the area. The area around Ålfotbreen has a landscape and geology unlike anywhere else in Norway. Put on good shoes and dress for the weather, and be prepared that this is a area where you travel at your own risk. This is a protected conservation area which means that it has different rules. Do proper research before you go.
