See the surroundings change from impressive waterfalls, steep mountains and green valleys in inner Nordfjord, to the wonderful mountain formations and beautiful ocean views at the coast.
Every day, Nordfjord Walking Festival offers a selection of hikes for the person who enjoys outdoor life and being in company of others. Whether your preferences is to walk along a historical road or to challenge the steep mountains, the choice is yours! The nature in Nordfjord is a perfect setting for hikes with a wide range in both difficulty and adventure. All hikes are accompanied by a local guide and we guarantee the hike if you sign up before 6 pm the day before the trip. The great finale of Nordfjord Walking Festival is "Skaala Uphill 1.848 m.a.s.l." - North Europes toughest mountain race. This is a competition and up-hill race. The hike is 8,2 kilometres and the average rise is 22,5%.
