After 16 years as a toll road, the RV5 in Fjærland between Sogndal and Skei is now free of charge.
The road toll was removed from 26 November 2010, and you can now drive this stretch without paying.
The RV5 connects the village of Sogndal by the Sognefjord with the Sunnfjord and Stryn & Nordfjord areas further north.
It is a very nice route if you are travelling between the northern part of Fjord Norway with Ålesund, the Geirangerfjord, the Atlantic Road the Trollstigen road and the Nordfjord and Sognefjord area.
